TO MY FELLOW VETERANS

Lay down your bag, soldier. You’re home.

I come from a long line of people who believed that some things were worth sacrificing for—the safety of our families, the freedom of our neighbors, and the good of our country.

Service was never just something we talked about. It was something we lived.

When I raised my right hand and took the oath to serve and protect, I became part of that legacy. I learned what it meant to show up when I was tired, to keep moving when things were difficult, and to carry more than what could ever be seen on a uniform.

And I learned that taking off the uniform does not always mean we stop carrying the weight.

Some part of you may still be standing watch.

You may still be the one everyone depends on—the one who stays strong, keeps going, and handles what needs to be handled. Your body may be tired while your mind refuses to quiet. You may have become so accustomed to carrying the load that you no longer remember what it feels like to set it down.

I see you because, in many ways, I am you.

AND WELLNESS was created, in part, from that understanding.

This is a place where you do not have to explain everything you have lived through. You do not have to prove your strength. You do not have to wait until you are struggling—or earn the right to take care of yourself.

Here, you can step away from the noise.

You can allow light, sound, warmth, vibration, and stillness to meet you exactly where you are.

You can take a full breath without waiting for the next demand.

You are welcomed here.

You have permission to pause here.

We cannot remove the miles you have traveled or the things you have carried. But we can offer you a place to set that weight down for a little while.

A place to let your shoulders soften.

A place to remember that rest is not weakness.

A place where you can exhale.
