Permission 2 Sweat AND Reset

Sweat AND Reset

The reclined infrared warmth experience

Stretch out, let the warmth build slowly around you, and give your body permission to soften and sweat.

  • Cool lavender cloth finish
Inside the lay-down infrared sauna at AND Wellness, with two reclined loungers glowing in warm pink light

Instead of sitting upright in a traditional sauna, you get to lie down.

Our lay-down infrared sauna offers a private, reclined experience for up to two guests. Calming music fills the room. The temperature gradually rises. The outside world becomes a little less demanding.

When your pause is complete, a cool lavender cloth offers a refreshing transition back into your day.

The experience

Your warmth, your pace

Settle into the lounger, choose a comfortable position, and let the warmth build at a pace your body can receive.

What you may notice

Every body responds to heat differently

  • Warmth gradually surrounding your body
  • Natural perspiration beginning to build
  • Muscles softening as you recline
  • Shoulders dropping away from your ears
  • Breathing becoming slower and easier
  • A quiet or meditative feeling
  • A sense of lightness or ease when the session ends
  • The refreshing contrast of a cool lavender cloth

You don't need to force sweat or stay in the heat once your body says it's had enough.

The heat stress response

Heat shock proteins

When the body warms, cells respond with a natural stress response. Part of it involves heat shock proteins, helper proteins that assist other proteins in keeping their shape under stress.

Researchers continue to study how repeated heat exposure, including sauna use, relates to this response and to general well-being.

The simple science

Radiant warmth, with respect

Infrared saunas use radiant heat to warm the body and the surrounding space differently from some traditional hot-air saunas. It still creates meaningful heat and deserves the same respect for hydration, heat tolerance, and individual health considerations.

Research continues to explore how repeated sauna and heat exposure may relate to general well-being. This is offered as an intentional warmth and rest experience:

  • Not a treatment
  • Not a detox protocol
  • Not a substitute for medical care

Sometimes warmth creates the quietest kind of permission: the permission to stop holding everything so tightly.

Before your experience

Hydrate before and after your visit. Avoid alcohol or other substances that could affect hydration, judgment, or temperature regulation.

Please speak with your healthcare professional before using a sauna if you:

  • Are pregnant or may be pregnant
  • Have a history of heat intolerance or heat stroke
  • Have cardiovascular, blood-pressure, circulation, or fainting concerns
  • Take medications that affect sweating, hydration, blood pressure, or temperature regulation
  • Have a fever, contagious illness, open wound, or recent procedure
  • Have been advised to avoid heat exposure

Tell our team right away if you feel dizzy, nauseated, overheated, weak, short of breath, or uncomfortable. You may end the experience at any time.

This wellness experience is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure a medical condition or replace care from a qualified healthcare professional.
